These clock hands may have had origins in the shop of Macock Ward in Wallingford Connecticut, ca. 1750. Timothy Barns of Litchfield used these clock hands in the 1770s, and his apprentices like Gideon Roberts (first clockmaker in Bristol) and James Harrison (First clockmaker in Waterbury) also used these hands. This style clock hand is the earliest style cast lead/pewter used in early-American wooden clocks. The design is a personal favorite of mine.
You are buying a pair of these style clock hands, painted black. You must fit them to your clock yourself. They can be fitted using a small square file.
